Effect of phosphate on ADP binding to the catalytic sites of βY331W-εdEcF₁. ADP-induced fluorescence quenching was measured in MTE buffer as described under Experimental Procedures in the absence (circles) and presence of 5 mM phosphate (diamonds). The data obtained in the absence of phosphate (circles) and the corresponding solid line are from Fig. 1A. Dashed line represents the best fit of the data to Eq. 2 with the results of the fit shown in Table 1.
