Comparison of the levels measured 1 h after injection of a 2.3 mM/kg dose on P10 with the levels measured 1 h after injection of a 3.0 mM/kg dose on P16 shows the expected increase in serum lithium with increasing dose. Lithium is rapidly excreted. By 6 h after injection of the 3.0 mM/kg dose, serum levels of lithium are reduced by approximately 80%, and no lithium is detected in the serum 24 h after the injection.
