The residues that comprise the hydrophobic face of each β strand are shown in grey. Residues that are essential for cleavage (Asp1120 and Asn1023) are shown in red and residues that play a secondary role in cleavage (Asp1068, Gly1080, Glu1154 and Glu1172) are shown in green.
