PcG mutants are not defective in maintenance of axon terminals. (A,B) Axons of class IV neurons were visualized in the ventral nerve cord using ppk∷EGFP. Images of class IV axon projections from wild-type (A) or esc21 mutants (B) were taken from the same larvae and at the same time as images in Figure 3, B and D, respectively. (C–E) Axon terminals of control (C), E(z)63 (D), and PcXT109 (E) MARCM clones. Clone genotypes were the same as in Figure 1. Representative clones without contralateral projections are shown, but we also observed contralateral projections in control, E(z)63, and PcXT109 mutant clones with approximately the same frequency.
