Cell growth evaluation was performed after a 48-hour incubation with the XTT assay in five independent experiments, each in triplicate. Similar results were obtained by viable cell counting (100% increase = increase from 3 × 104 cells/cm2 to 5.5 × 104 cells/cm2, on average).
