Note intense neutrophilic infiltration targeted to the proliferative zone that is typically elongated in H. pylori gastritis (the segment between the arrows). The surface epithelium and deep glands are free of significant neutrophilic infiltration. The interstitial infiltration primarily consists of lymphocytes, plasma cells, and histiocytes.
