A: Representative neoplastic tissue fixed in 10% buffered formaldehyde, paraffin embedded, sectioned, and stained with H&E, with higher-power inset showing a mix of small cleaved and large lymphoid cells. B: CD100 immunoperoxidase staining of frozen neoplastic tissue. As seen in the higher-power inset, large neoplastic cells as well as small cleaved neoplastic cells exhibit moderate, uniform surface staining for CD100. Scattered, reactive T cells within the neoplastic follicle, as well as reactive T cells in the interfollicular zone, are strongly immunoreactive for CD100.
