Both I-NFTs (arrows) and E-NFTs (arrowheads) are strongly labeled by anti-tau protein antibody (A, D, and G). I-NFTs show definite AGE immunoreactivity (arrows), whereas E-NFTs are virtually negative (arrowheads, B, E, and H).
