Variation in apoptotic index in different types of tumors in materials processed and analyzed in a similar manner (data are from Refs. 98, 106, 129, 130, 134, and 140 ). Of the tumors shown, low-grade malignant lymphomas have the lowest and small cell lung carcinomas the highest apoptotic index.
