The sex-determining loci in medaka and stickleback have been placed on medaka LG1 and stickleback LG19, respectively (Matsuda et al. 2002; Peichel et al. 2004). To identify ortholgous genes between fugu and medaka or between fugu and stickleback, the predicted genes (Ensembl version 42.1a for medaka and version 42.1b for stickleback) were compared using Ensembl Multi MartView.
