Structure of inactivated virions. Virus (HSV-1 KOS) adsorbed to coated grids was treated with 11.4 mM TAT-C− (A) or n50,51TAT-C− (B) in serum-free DMEM (pH 7.4) for 30 min at 37°C and negatively stained.
