Panel C: cell pretreatment with peptide does not affect virus adsorption. Precooled live cells were exposed to TAT-Cd⁻ for 1 h at 4°C. Free peptide was rinsed off and virus (MOI, ∼2) was added for 1 h at 4°C, when free virus was rinsed off and cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde in PBS. The bound biotinylated peptide or adsorbed virus was detected in ELISAs. The data points represent the means of triplicate determinations with standard errors of the means.
