Proteins in human meibomian gland secretion samples (that is, Q, R, U, V, W, X, and Y) were analysed using µHPLC/MS/MS techniques and broad SEQUEST criteria (that is, Xcorr >1.3, ΔCn >0.8). To decrease the possibility of false positives, all MS data were manually confirmed. If proteins were already identified with more stringent criteria (that is, table 1), they are not listed again in this table. The column headings are analogous to those in table 1.
