Neutralization of chemokines results in decreased monocyte recruitment. Neutralizing CCL2 or CCL3 resulted in small but significant decreases in monocyte recruitment, whereas blocking CCL4 resulted in a >50% decline in monocytic infiltration. Significant differences in cellular recruitment due to infection with either E. cuniculi (n = 10) or E. intestinalis (n = 3) were not observed. The error bars indicate standard errors of the means.
