The ETA/ETB antagonist bosentan attenuates interstitial infiltration in AT1(−/−). AT(−/−) with moderate overload nephropathy showed a significantly higher interstitial cell infiltration than WT at day 14 (2.8 ± 0.9 versus 0.7 ± 0.7, n = 9, *P < 0.01), which was mainly located around small vessels, and was significantly attenuated by bosentan (1.2 ± 0.5, n = 5, **P < 0.05).
