These larvae died in the first instar. (B) GFP-Nopp140-True.A9/+; TCom.C3/da-GAL4 larvae showed diminished GFP labeling presumably from RNAi knockdown of exogenous mRNAs. These larvae survived to the pupal stage with a third of them eclosing as adults. Both images were captured using identical microscope and camera settings.
