TrkB increases the half-life of Kv1.3 channel protein. (A) HEK293 cells were transiently transfected with cDNA encoding Kv1.3 (K) or Kv1.3 plus TrkB (KT). Twenty-eight hours following transfection, cells were treated with two different concentrations of cycloheximide and then lysates were harvested at varying time intervals (in hours) as noted. Lysates were separated by SDS PAGE and nitrocellulose was blotted with anti-Kv1.3 as in Fig. 1.
