BL vs. recovery sleep. The recovery data were taken immediately after the last 20-h SD period on SD5 and therefore begin at light onset (ZT0). Note that the BL distribution is triple-plotted to make comparisons with each recovery day. The 12:12 light:dark cycle is indicated at the bottom (open bar, light phase, dark bar, dark phase). Separate repeated-measure ANOVAs were used to compare BL vs. recovery on each day, and post-hoc comparisons were used to identify differences between particular 2-h time intervals. Significance values were set at P < 0.05.
