Developmental noise in P. entomophagus and P. pacificus. (Upper) In P. entomophagus RS145, the most common developmental error is a misspecification of P5.p. Instead of adopting the 2° fate, P5.p forms an independent invagination (arrow) that does not connect to the uterus.
