The behavior of the overexpressed full-length TACC proteins. In normal transfected cells (Left), all of the overexpressed TACC proteins (green) form large structures in the cytoplasm. Tubulin is shown in red in the merged images; when tubulin is concentrated around the TACC structures, they appear to be yellow. Tubulin is not highly concentrated around the TACC1 or TACC3 polymers but is concentrated around the TACC2 polymers. In nocodazole-treated cells (Center), the TACC1 polymers do not interact with tubulin and TACC2 polymers strongly interact with tubulin, whereas the TACC3 polymers weakly interact with tubulin.
