Male NOD-SCID mice were treated with streptozotocin at the age of 8 weeks and allowed to survive for an additional 2 or 4 weeks before sacrifice. NOD-SCID controls, sibs which were not treated with streptozotocin, were sacrificed at the same time as the 2 week STZ-diabetic group. Values represent the means ± SEM of n mice.
