At 0 days, 30-day-old individuals grown at 24° were sampled for RNA and placed into a 5° photothermal induction chamber. RNA samples were taken after 45 and 90 days at 5°. After 90 days, plants were returned to 24° growing conditions. The y-axis indicates mRNA expression level, in relative units, with the starting level arbitrarily set to 10. BvFL1_v2/v3 levels decreased progressively during cold treatment and then returned to prevernalization levels following vernalization.
