R6/T24 is a permanent cell line transformed by an activated human c-H-ras oncogene. Both normal and H-ras transformed Rat 6 cells were seeded in triplicate at 104 cells per 60 mm plate in D10CS. Next day, cultured were switched to D5FCS, or FCS plus herbal extracts at designated dosages for 5 days. At the end of the treatment, cells were trypsinized and counted by Coulter Counter. Cytotoxicity was expressed as percent of cell survival compared to the untreated control.
