HLAMatchmaker carried out HLA-A and -B compatibility determinations at triplet level and identified the number of highly immunogenic and total triplet mismatches for each donor-patient combination. Transfusions were sorted into subgroups based on the number of mismatches (≤ 3 and > 3 HIMMs; ≤ 9 and > 9 TMMs). The median CCIs for each group was determined, and comparisons between groups were done using the Student t test. The median number of HIMMs and TMMs are presented with the first and third quartile values (in parentheses). The 2 cohorts were compared using unpaired, 2-tailed Student t test.
