VEGF-A and VEGF-C, but not bFGF, promote the formation of lymphatic vascular structures in embryoid bodies. EBs were cultured for 14 days in 15% FBS-containing media. At day 14, VEGF-A (20 ng/mL; n = 6), VEGF-C (200 ng/mL; n = 7), or bFGF (20 ng/mL; n = 5) were added or not added (controls, n = 8) for 4 days. EBs were stained for CD31 and Prox-1.
