As DTC migration begins, ina-1 expression is high and pat-2 is not expressed. vab-3 then up-regulates pat-2 during DTC turning. PAT-2 directs dorsal pathfinding and remains on through adulthood. In adults, vab-3 down-regulates ina-1, ending migration.
