The ratio of the normalized fusion and CSE values for each mutant was calculated from the data in Fig. 1D and 2C. By definition, the fusion/CSE ratio for WT NiV-F would be 1.0 (100%/100%). Ratios of >1 indicate increased fusogenicity, while mutants with decreased fusogenicity would have ratios of <1.
