(A–E) Proteins extracted from rat brain that did not bind to heparin–Sepharose were sequentially chromatographed on the indicated columns. The specified fractions were phosphorylated in the presence (+) or absence (−) of GST–LRRK2[1326–2527,G2019S] and [γ-³²P]ATP as described in the Materials and methods section. Phosphorylation of substrates was analysed following PAGE of the samples and autoradiography. The identity of the moesin, CRMP2 and creatine kinase as the phosphorylated substrates was established by MS as described in the legend to Figure 3. kD=kDa.
