Northern blot analysis of IL-8 from polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) and mononuclear cells (MNC) in patients with Kawasaki disease. Increased expression of IL-8 mRNA was observed in neutrophils and monocytes in the acute phase of disease, and a further increase in IL-8 mRNA expression was observed after intravenous immunoglobulin therapy.
