In vitro SAA degradation by CD14⁺ monocytes pretreated with IL-1β or IFN-γ CD14⁺ monocytes were pretreated with IL-1 β (2, 20u/ml) or IFN-γ (20, 200u/ml) in 96 well plates for 24 h. Then SAA was added and cultured for another 12 h. Culture supernatants were subjected to anti-SAA immunoblot analysis. SAA indicated nondegradated SAA standard. lane 1: nontreated, lane 2: treated with IL-1β (2u/ml), lane 3: treated with IL‐1β (20u/ml), lane 4: treated with IFN-γ (20 u/ml), lane 5: treated with IFN-γ (200u/ml).
