Intracellular cytokine detection. Isolated CD8⁺ T lymphocytes from peripheral blood of (□) healthy volunteers (n = 7) and (▪) patients with allergic asthma (n = 6) were stimulated for 6 h with PMA (10⁻⁸ m) and calcium-ionophore (10⁻⁶ m) in the presence of brefeldin A (10 µg/ml).
