Modulation of secreted IL-1ra (a), IL-1α (b) and IL-1ra : IL-1α ratio (c) by cytokines in oral mucosal cells. Cells were incubated with RPMI 1640 alone as control (C), TNFα, IL-6, IFN-γ, IL-10 or TGFβ1. The concentration of cytokines in culture supernatants was determined by ELISA.
