Sera were obtained on days 1–28 after injection of denatured liver tissue. Serum of lpr mice after the onset of disease (25 weeks of age) was used as a positive control and the titre was adjusted to 100 U/ml. The mean and one SD were produced from three experiments. All sera were used in a 1/20 dilution.
