^*Confluent HT-29 monolayers in 24-well plates were pretreated with MG-132 (50 μm) for 1 h and then the cells were stimulated with B. fragilis enterotoxin (BFT, 100 ng/ml) for 6 h. Each mRNA expression was assayed by quantitative RT-PCR using internal RNA standard. The values represent the number of mRNA transcripts (x 10⁴)/μg total RNA, and are expressed as the mean ± SD of 5 repeated experiments.
