Pigment composition of the four Suc gradient bands containing core and antenna complexes
Bands 5 and 6 from the first Suc gradient were pelleted, resuspended in 0.6% α-DM or 0.8% β-DM, respectively, and loaded onto a second Suc gradient ultracentrifugation (bands 5b and 6b). Carotenoid concentrations are normalized to 100 or 180 (band 6b) Chls. N was not detected in band 6b (nd). sd was <±10%.
