(A) The persistence length appears to be lower at higher wavevectors, but this is likely due to a bias caused by intrinsic noise limitations. The dotted line denoting the noise-limited regime was obtained using conservative values for the noise floor (RMS error of 0.5 pixel) in Eq. 3. (B) Within individual filaments, there is no dependence of the persistence length obtained from each mode (normalized by the persistence length averaged over all modes) on wavevector (normalized by the wavevector averaged over all modes). Each filament is shown with a different symbol.
