FGF-2 protects uPAR from cleavage in liver and lung fibroblasts. TGFβ-treated cells became myofibroblasts and expressed cleaved uPAR (D2D3). Human hepatic stellate cells (liver, LX2) and normal human lung fibroblasts (LL24) were seeded in SSFM-FGF or SSFM-TGFβ, and cells were grown for 72 h.
