Competitive binding between recombinant human Fab fragments and mouse monoclonal antibodies to MSP-1₁₉ in ELISA. Various concentrations of recombinant Fab fragments (Pf25, •; Pf143, ▵; Pf227, ◊; and control Fab, ○) in PBS or PBS only was premixed with 200 ng per well of the inhibitory antibody 12.8 (solid lines) or 20 ng per well of the blocking antibody 2.2 (broken lines) and then added to wells. Reactions were detected with an HRP-conjugated goat antibody to mouse IgG and with a substrate. Optical densities (OD) were measured at 490 nm and expressed as relative values to the PBS control values.
