Effects of CD40 ligation on growth of tumour cells. Proliferation of human tumour cells [i.e. ovarian carcinoma (OVCA) and breast carcinoma cell line (MCF-7) cells] co-incubated with irradiated CD40L⁺ or control L cells was determined by [³H]-thymidine incorporation after 48 h and 72 h of co-culture. Data were expressed as percentage of growth inhibition as described in Materials and methods.
