Figure 1 Experimental hepatic fibrosis model in rats. Hepatic fibrosis was induced by intraperitoneal injection of thioacetamide (TAA; 200 mg/kg body weight) twice per week for 4 weeks. Rats then each received 2×109 plaque forming units (PFU) of adenovirus vectors via the tail vein and were repetitively injected with TAA for 3 days, 7 days or 3 weeks.
