Southern and Northern blot analysis. (A) Southern blot analysis was carried out for the ARR genes, by using each specific probe indicated, under high-stringency conditions. Genomic DNA was digested with BamHI (lane 1), EcoRV (lane 2), and PstI (lane 3). (B) Northern blot analysis to locate the ARR transcripts, by using each specific probe indicated. Total RNA was isolated from Arabidopsis roots. The positions on the gels were determined by using appropriate standards (indicated in kb at left side).
