GFP-WT S100P colocalizes with ezrin in microvilli induced by A23187 treatment. After transfection with the GFP-WT S100P or GFP-F15A S100P encoding plasmids and serum starvation (see Figure 6), A431 cells were treated for 1 min with the Ca²⁺ ionophore A23187. Cells were then fixed, permeabilized and stained for ezrin using a specific antibody. Note that the A23187 treatment induces an efficient formation of microvillar protrusions that are positive for ezrin and GFP-WT S100P (top panels) but not GFP-F15A S100P (bottom panels).
