Percentages of cells expressing CD34 and/or CD133 alone or together were compared between the various sources tested. Normal (non-mobilised) peripheral blood (nPB), bone marrow (BM), umbilical cord blood (CB) and G-CSF-mobilised peripheral blood samples (mPBP). Results are expressed as the mean (standard error); n = number of samples tested. White blood cells (wbc) are all leucocytes in the samples analysed, including mononuclear and granulocytic populations.
