Effect of the absence of Dps on survival of bacteria in the presence of 200 mM H₂O₂. Overnight cultures of wild-type (wt) or Dps-defective (dps) cells were treated with H₂O₂. After the addition of hydrogen peroxide, viable cell counts were determined as CFU by serial dilution of cells eliminated periodically from cultures and plated to the LB agar plates.
