Inhibition of myosin II allows formation of axons in 3-D confinement. Culturing neurons in the presence of the myosin II inhibitor blebbistatin allows neurons to form axons in square chambers of small width. Analysis was performed as in Figure 1. Treatment with DMSO did not alter the response to confinement relative to no treatment, compare to data from chambers in Figure 1B. n= arrays of chambers.
