Figure 2 Cytokine, chemokine and soluble adhesion molecule profiles in plasma and synovial fluid (SF) of patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Using a multiplex immunoassay, levels of cytokines, chemokines and soluble adhesion molecules (pg/ml) were measured in plasma and SF of patients with JIA. A colour profile of the geometric means was made to show differences between active and remission disease of each individual patient group (A) and differences during active disease between plasma and SF (B). IFN, interferon; IL, interleukin; MIF, macrophage inhibitory factor; OA, oligoarticular JIA; OPG, osteoprotergerin; OSM, oncostatin M; PA, polyarticular JIA; sRANKL, soluble receptor activator of nuclear factor κ B ligand; SF, synovial fluid; Sys, systemic JIA.
