The molecular weights of standards and samples were determined by comparison with protein molecular weight markers (GE Healthcare, Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, UK). MMP-9 activity quantified by densitometry was significantly greater in PAR-2-deficient mice compared with WT mice with CGN (B, *P < 0.05, n = 8 per group).
