(A) Vinculin-positive focal adhesions at the free edge of a wounded IAR-2 cell monolayer did not have any preferential orientation relative to the cell edge. (B) A newly formed contact by four IAR-2 cells. Focal adhesions and straight actin bundles in the contact zone were oriented along the intercellular boundary.
