Schematic illustration of screening for PECAM-1–phosphorylating kinase. E. coli, XL-10 was first transformed by pGEX-cytoplasmic PECAM-1. The transformed bacteria were then infected with a lambda phage expression library containing human placental cDNAs. More than 5 × 105 plaques were transferred to the membrane and examined for the immunoreactivity with anti-PY-PECAM-1.
