Subcellular fractionation of an L. mexicana mexicana cell-free extract by sucrose gradient centrifugation. Marker enzymes with known subcellular localization are: enolase (cytosol), hexokinase (glycosome), isocitrate dehydrogenase (cytosol and mitochondrion), and malate dehydrogenase (mitochondrion and glycosome). The results are presented as normalized fractions with equal density increment.
